NOW IS THE TIME TO REPROGRAM YOUR THINKING

 

Now is the time to begin to change the way you think using your imagination.

Description automatically generatedFor example, if you were to think about how your life would be completely free from bulimia, what you would look like, feel, say to yourself? What happens is your unconscious mind will begin to develop and focus on that imaginary reality. It will slowly evolve into physical reality and into your life constructively.

Your unconscious mind is so unbelievably ingenious and compelling, and right now, you aren’t using it correctly, with the way you’re thinking.

YOUR NEGATIVE THINKING

If you are thinking to yourself, “I cant control my need to binge” what happens? Your unconscious will be focused on what it’s being told. With this sort of negative thinking, you’re helping your unconscious to focus on your food and bingeing, which is exactly where you need to steer clear of.

For example, if you think to yourself, “I must stop making myself sick” you’ll immediately create an image in your head. It will be a flash of a picture of you making yourself sick. Then that will reinforce the fact that you’ll go ahead into that downward spiral of the binge cycle.

If you continue to believe what you tell yourself, you’ll never be free from bulimia. It’s your choice if you continue to choose to listen to what you tell yourself. OR you can choose to change and STOP listening to all this negativity. This is where your imagination will help you do this.


HOW DO YOU REPLACE YOUR NEGATIVE THINKING WITH POSITIVE THINKING?

Description automatically generatedSo much research has been done that shows us that visualization techniques drastically improve our ability to change positively by replacing old negative images with positive images. Therefore you can begin to change the way you feel, and how amazing would that be?

In addition to positive images in the brain, you also want to create positive emotions to support those new images. The feelings can be guided by what you feed your mind; you have the power to change your beliefs and behavior.

This is one of the reasons why it’s incredibly important to keep stepping into that new you method using the “The New You” technique to empowering yourself in Step 1.
