How often have you tried to stop your destructive patterns, and maybe it works for a time only to end up giving in and falling back into the cycle? How often have you wished you had the motivation to learn from your slip up and jump back onto a positive path?

How would you like more motivation to help you to take huge leaps toward stopping this bulimic cycle of bingeing a purging? 

 

So, let's learn how you can become motivated instantly…

 

What I suggest you do anytime you aren’t feeling very motivated or confident about taking any of the steps is run through this empowering technique over and over again, to get you fired up and ready to move on to the next step.

We’ll be creating connections between feeling wholly motivated and not feeling entirely motivated to stay focused on your path to freedom.

 

 Trust me… it works and is a fantastic tool to have right at your fingertips for whenever you aren’t feeling positive about all the incredible changes you’re making.

 

Please read the steps first, so you have a clear picture of what you need to do.

 

“ELECTRIFY YOUR MOTIVATION” TECHNIQUE

 

Let’s first create a positive, motivated feeling:

 

PART 1

 

1.  On a scale of 1 – 10, how strong is your motivation to free yourself of your bulimia, with 1 being similar to a water pistol in strength compared to 10 being the most powerful similar to a fire hose.

 

2.  Okay, so now think of something that you’re already motivated to do, like your favorite hobby, spending time with family, going on holiday, or if you won the lottery (how motivated would you be to go and spend the money?)

 

3.  Visualize the movie, seeing it through your own eyes as though it's happening right now, imagine what you would see and hear, and feel exactly how being motivated feels. When you’re entirely into how that feels, squeeze together with your thumb and index finger of your left hand.

 

4.  Keep going through that motivational movie. As soon as it finishes, start again, continually squeezing your finger and thumb together while you feel that motivation. 

 

5.  Stop. Now test your motivation trigger. Squeeze your thumb and finger together and relive that good feeling. It may not feel as intense, but the more you do this, the more enhanced that feeling will become.

 

PART 2

 

     Now to make the connection between feeling motivated and your negative behaviors. You’re about to become super motivated to changing these patterns.

 

1.   Squeeze your thumb and finger together of your left hand and remember what it's like to feel motivated.

 

2.   Imagine yourself free from bulimia and going throughout the day, enjoying yourself, thinking of what you would do, how great life will be, not thinking about food all the time that leads you to binge and purging or over-exercising or calmly leaving those laxatives in the cupboard.

 

3.   Imagine things going perfectly, exactly the way you want them to. See, feel, and hear how good it feels. Do this again, still squeezing your thumb and finger together of your left hand, permanently associating motivation to taking the positive steps to free yourself.

 

4.   Scale 1 -10 how motivated do you feel to take the steps and start to address the good new positive changes you’re going to make? The higher the number, the more comfortable you’ll find it to break all your delicate patterns and habits linked with your bulimia. The lower the number, the more you need to practice the technique.
